Were There Prophets After John? (Part II)

WERE THERE PROPHETS AFTER JOHN?
(PART II)

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

St. Matthew 11:13-14 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.   And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

As we discussed previously, there were prophets after John the Baptist. These men prophesied of things to come and they taught the people of the ways of Jesus Christ our Saviour.

The scripture in Malachi 4:5 speaks to the coming of Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. This day has not yet come. Elijah was to have restored all things; meaning all the teachings and commandments that God gave to His prophets to give to the people throughout the ages, as well as all the teachings of Christ Jesus. This Elijah would inform, enlighten and remind us of all these teachings.

What are some of these teachings? The 7th Day is the Sabbath of the Lord our God. The Sabbath was observed by God Himself, even from the Garden of Eden. How do we know which day is the 7th Day? Just as how we know Good Friday, St. Luke 23:54 shows us that the Day on which Jesus was crucified is called the Preparation and the Sabbath drew on. What were they preparing for? The Sabbath! (Gen. 2:1-3) The Sabbath must be kept from evening until evening. (This means from sunset on the Preparation or Friday evening to sunset Saturday evening.) Baptism by immersion is necessary for salvation. (Col. 2:12) Foot washing is necessary for salvation. (St. John 13:8) The Lord’s body and blood is necessary for salvation. (St. John 6:53) The Holy Convocation or Feast of Tabernacles should be kept. (Lev. 23-26-32) The Passover should be kept. (Ex. 12:14) The Ten Commandments should be kept. (Rev. 22:14)
Most of these teachings have a forever law on them. As long as earth last, they should be kept. (Eccl. 1:4)

Just as how Elijah preceded King Ahab in I Kings 18:46; so Elijah/Elias preceded Christ (in John the Baptist) in the New Testament, St. Luke 1:17 so Elijah in Prophet William Saunders Crowdy preceded Jesus Christ before the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord! He came in the United States of America in the 1800’s. Just when Israel was coming out of slavery in the United States. God showed him how to prepare His people for the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord. He showed him how the teachings of Jesus Christ had been martyred out of the land and it was time for restoration. So in 1896 the Church of God and Saints of Christ was registered in Congress in the United States as the 667th religious organization. He sent evangelists throughout the world to gather Israel into one family and be restored to the ways of God. Thank God for the one, who came to Jamaica to gather Israel here, restoring her to the ways of God.

Preparations are being made to meet the King when He returns. Please come and hear how you too can be one in the number when the saints go marching in!
